JAKARTA, July 17 (Bernama) -- Indonesian police confirmed that the two explosions which ripped through the JW Marriott Hotel and Ritz Carlton Hotel here on Friday morning are the works of suicide bombers.
Indonesian police chief Bambang Hendarso Danuri said police found two heads believed to be those of the suicide bombers at the hotels.
"We are checking on their identities. The head found at the Ritz Carlton is still intact while the other, which was found at the JW Marriott can still be identified despite the condition," he told a news conference.
Quoting sources, detikcom website said that one of the bombers had checked in for a week stay at the JW Marriott Hotel under the name Nurdin A.
The authorities confirmed that eight people were killed in the blasts, and not nine as reported earlier.
